Agricultural Estate With Agritourism In Pelago

Villa Grassina is a farm holiday complex located on the Tuscan hills near Florence, in the tranquility of the Chianti Rufina countryside, at the edge of the Casentino Forests National Park. The property is a typical example of Tuscan baroque architecture and includes a main villa, two farmhouses, a private chapel, a restaurant, agricultural annexes, a winery, and a biomass thermal power plant, all covering a total area of about 2,755 sqm. The complex houses 38 renovated apartments for residential use, with a total accommodation capacity of approximately 80-85 beds.
 
The organic farm extends over about 54 hectares at approximately 420 meters above sea level, consisting of a specialized olive grove with over 5,400 plants on roughly 16.5 hectares, coppice and high forest woods, chestnut groves, vegetable gardens, and orchards. The main product is the IGP Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, complemented by vegetables, honey, chestnuts, and firewood. These products are partially used within the agritourism activities and partially sold through a commercial network developed over more than 20 years of activity.
 
The agritourism activity began in 1997, with subsequent improvements both agricultural and structural, such as the renovation of historic buildings, the restoration of the church and historic garden, the creation of a restaurant, a tasting room, swimming pool, tennis court, and facilities for reception and breeding. 
 
The property is enhanced with modern agricultural equipment, photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, confirming a sustainable management integrated with both agricultural and accommodation activities.
